The second issue of the "Gendered Resistance” publication issued by the Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS) encompasses ten articles by ten authors. The publication is the result of a nine-month journey organized by the ACSS New Paradigms Factory (NPF) program, a writing fellowship involving young academics and activists from the Arab region, who under the supervision of four mentors, learn how to convey results of research to a variety of audience. With the publication of this book, the ACSS ends the fourth cycle of the NPF program under the theme of "Gendered Resistance".
The articles in this publication cover a wide range of topics that engage with gender violence and highlight different individual and collective ways that women use to resist family, institutional, or community violence and undermine prevailing structures of oppression.
