The Arab Council for the Social Sciences has published two new books: the first, "جندرة الأرشيف العربي" and the second, "روايات نساء عربيّات من جيل السبعينات". The books were launched during a session hosted by the Lebanese National Library in Beirut, attended by more than 120 researchers from Lebanon, the Arab region, and around the world.

Perched on John Kennedy Street (formerly Avenue Perthuis) the Alamuddin Building - which houses the offices of the Arab Council for the Social Sciences - stands as a quiet observer of history, its walls echoing the stories of a city shaped by decades of transformations and turmoil. The historical details of the building were generously provided to the ACSS by the building’s current owners, Hana and Noura Alamuddin.
