The Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) is hiring a highly qualified senior researcher to direct and support its efforts in conceptualizing and implementing research projects, publishing research findings, and communicating findings to key stakeholders.
Founded in 1989, the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies is an independently managed, non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental think tank whose mission is to produce and advocate policies that improve governance in Lebanon and the Arab region. LCPS’ current research agenda focuses on: Improving political representation, strengthening decentralization, advocating for a transparent oil and gas sector, supporting policies to create jobs, empowering youth, assessing the vulnerability of refugees, and promoting security sector reform.

Theoretically conceptualize research projects and identify potential research projects that result from data analysis as well as current political and economic events.

Write well-articulated and substantiated articles, policy reports, policy briefs, and articles as well as research proposals and presentations to communicate projects to decision makers, donors, and peers.

Conceptualize and execute research projects, using rigorously qualitative and/or qualitative methods of inquiry.

Work independently, multi-task, and effectively lead teams of researchers and communicate well.
Requirements:

Masters’ degree in social sciences with 8-10 years of research experience; PhD degree is a plus.

Experience in conceptualizing, executing, and drafting of research projects and related output.

Expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research techniques.

Track record of publications is desirable.

Knowledge about the workings of Lebanese governmental institutions is a plus.

Language requirements: Excellent command of English, Arabic is highly desirable.
