The Carnegie Middle East Center, a global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, is seeking a full-time Commissioning Editor for its program on civil-military relations in Arab states. Candidates outside of Lebanon will be considered.

The Commissioning Editor will be responsible for seeking suitable authors, developing topics and outlines, taking drafts through review, and making revisions. S/he should have native English and preferably also be bilingual or at least strongly proficient in Arabic. The position will also be responsible for overseeing manuscripts through production. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and a background in security/defense affairs.
