The Carnegie Middle East Center's Program on Civil Military Relations in Arab States (CMRAS) seeks a Co-Director for Engagement. The Carnegie Middle East Center is part of a global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States.
The Co-Director for Engagement will join the program directing team to develop capacity-building relationships in defense affairs with a range of stakeholders including Arab civil society and research organizations, media, parliamentarians and government officials, defense sectors, and international officials. This encompasses identifying needs and areas of common interest, planning activities, and increasing outreach. The co-director will also contribute to other parts of the CMRAS program such as developing research and policy publications.
The successful applicant must have an MA or higher in a relevant discipline, at least five years of practical experience in a related field, fluency in Arabic and English, and be able to travel frequently.
