Qatar National Library (QNL) seeks an outstanding and dynamic Senior Writing Specialist who is dedicated to excellence in teaching and will help to shape the writing support program in QNL. The incumbent will provide opportunities for researchers, students, and community members to become more independent, confident, and versatile writers and communicators. The Specialist will develop and deliver programs that build the capacity of individuals to plan, organize, and develop strategies that enhance their writing and communication skills. Examples of programs include public programs, small-group workshops, individual and peer group tutoring, test prep courses, note-taking and others.

Essential responsibilities include the overall management and development of collections, conservation, exhibitions and programs.
The ideal candidate must possess a combination of professional education and progressive management experience in special and rare books collections related to the Middle East and Islamic history as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide effective oversight of a professional staff, research operation and budget.
Minimum 8 years of experience needed.
