The Arab Regional Professional Exchange Program provides financial support, including a monthly stipend, travel, and insurance coverage, to individuals from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for work on a 3-6 month project in a host organization in the region. As you bring an outside perspective and skills to a host organization, you will gain real-life experience and a unique professional development opportunity.
This program aims to address the demand for professional exchanges and capacity building opportunities within the Arab Region. It allows for the sharing of experiences and dynamic transfer of knowledge between individuals and civil society organizations within the region.
Who Should Apply
- Recent graduates and young professionals interested in contributing to the development of civil society in the MENA region.
- Individuals with an LLM or MA/MS degree in in the social sciences (law, humanities, media, communications, development, gender studies, or related field), art, education, or STEM.
- Individuals should be willing to work on a project in their field of study or within the mandate of a host organization, and will develop projects together with the host organization if selected.
- IIE welcomes applications from qualified Arab applicants across the MENA region. Projects may take place in the following countries: Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, or Morocco.
- Professional exchange between organizations is encouraged.
Deadlines
Deadline to submit a complete application is March 1, 2017.
Applicants will be notified of selection results in mid-May 2017.
