The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) is opening registration for the third round of the Winter School on “Variations in Populism”. The winter school is a 10-day program, running from 3-13 January 2022, open to advanced graduate students and early career researchers in the social sciences and humanities.
The theme of the 2022 winter school, “Variations in Populism”, was selected to reflect emerging research trends in a variety of social science disciplines and to generate a fruitful discussion. This theme will be approached from an interdisciplinary perspective, enriching the winter school and participants’ perspectives.
Participants will gain substantive knowledge from lectures delivered by well-known scholars and feedback from discussants. Participants are exposed to substantive knowledge unavailable in their home institutions and countries and will have an unparalleled opportunity to network with regional scholars and other participants.
Registration is free for participants. The Winter School is scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar and the ACRPS will cover room and board in Doha for all participants throughout the duration of the conference. Grants assisting in the cost of travel from the participant’s country of residence to Qatar will be awarded on competitive basis. Please note that given the ongoing pandemic, the winter school might follow a hybrid model or move online.
