تشكّل سلسلة المحاضرات السنويّة أحد الأنشطة العامّة الرئيسيّة التي ينظّمها المجلس العربي للعلوم الاجتماعيّة. هي مناسبة لتكريم علماء وعالمات متميّزين/ات من المنطقة العربية ممّن قدّموا مساهماتٍ جوهريّة للعلوم الاجتماعيّة والإنسانيّة. يُدعى علماء وعالمات علوم اجتماعيّة بارزون/ات من المنطقة العربيّة للتأمّل في التقاليد الفكريّة وتاريخ وإرث هؤلاء العلماء/العالمات، وتعزيز النقاشات حول القضايا المعاصرة والتحديات التي تواجها المنطقة اليوم.
تتّخذ المحاضرات السنويّة شكل سلسلة يتبدّل محور تركيزها وموضوعها كلّ أربع سنوات. علمًا أنّ هذه المحاضرات مفتوحة للجمهور وتمنح الأكاديميين/ات، والطلبة، والمهتمين/ات فرصة مشاركة آرائهم/نّ والتشبيك والتحاور.

The Annual Lecture is one of the main public events organized by the ACSS. It is an occasion where we honor distinguished scholars from the region who have made significant contributions to the social sciences and humanities. Prominent social scientists from the Arab region are invited to reflect on intellectual traditions, histories and legacies of these scholars and to inform contemporary debates and challenges facing the region today.
The Annual Lecture is organized as a series which changes focus and theme every four years. The lectures are open to the public and provide an opportunity for scholars, professionals and students to exchange ideas and dialogue.
