Follow up to World Humanities Conference (Liege, 6-12 August, 2017)
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS) and the International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) under the auspices of UNESCO, have the pleasure to invite you to participate in the Arab Regional Forum on Humanities Webinar.
Scientific knowledge and human solidarity are fundamental for enabling human societies to cope with the challenges that face them. Societies are faced with complex dilemmas that require making crucial choices that should enhance participatory citizenship and coexistence in peace and creativity. This allows us all to imagine a future characterized by fairness and sustainability.
The webinar aims to share the achievements of follow up initiatives in the Arab region to the key recommendations of the World Humanities Conference (Liege, 6-12 August 2017) which was a major event engaging the Human Sciences from countries around the world. A set of 4 panel discussions will be on challenges and opportunities of humanities education and research as well as its policy nexus and actions to promote inclusion in the Arab societies. The webinar will explore regional and international collaboration opportunities and modalities among stakeholders of humanities.
The webinar will be held via Zoom and interpretation is provided in Arabic, English and French.
